Trappers Gap is an iconic point-to-point route for advanced riders who thrive on challenging climbs, thrilling descents and rugged, remote bushland. Your journey starts from Mitta Mitta with 10km of sealed roads over rural rolling hills before quickly climbing to altitude on 4WD bush tracks. Take in stunning views of Mt Bogong and Mt Kosciuszko followed by an exhilarating descent into Kiewa Valley and a final roll on another 10km of sealed roads into the township of Mount Beauty. This route is exclusively for expert gravel cyclists, demanding advanced riding skills and experience in remote conditions. You will need to be self-sufficient with a pre-organised lift, or have the stamina to return via the same route.
