Nestled in the heart of the Kiewa Valley, Mount Beauty is a destination that lives up to its name. With its stunning backdrop of Victoria's highest peak, Mount Bogong, this charming town offers a perfect escape for nature lovers and adventurers alike.

Showcasing the West Kiewa, Pretty Valley and Mount Fainter, this expedition includes high plains, heritage huts, brumby country, wild rivers, stunning views and secluded camps, our renowned horses and campfire meals.
The horses are a feature of this expedition, each of them our own bred and trained mountain horse, expertly matched to the rider. Each day the camp is packed up, loaded onto the packhorses and the journey continues. Riding is between 15 to 25 kilometres per day with opportunities for loping canters across open plains.
Camps are selected for their beautiful settings, some in traditional stock camps featuring huts, but often secluded bush camps maintained by BHA. With swags rolled out dinner is prepared and enjoyed around a warming fire, with a cold beer, a local wine and a meal prepared from local fresh produce on the coals.
All expeditions include a night before and a night after at Spring Spur, where you can join the family for a meal and enjoy your comfortable en-suite room.

Unit 1 is located on the ground floor and boasts a spacious bathroom designed to meet accessible needs. Each unit also includes a balcony with stunning views of the mountains and valley. The north and east-facing windows bathe the space in beautiful morning light, offering picturesque views of Mount Bogong.
Tawonga Tourist Park is the perfect destination for nature lovers. Nestled in the base of the Alpine Shire mountains directly on the Kiewa River. Tawonga Tourist Park has powered and unpowered sites and newly upgraded cabins to suit all types of travellers.
During the winter travellers can enjoy easy access to the snowy mountains and during warmer months can enjoy the lush green trees and refreshing river!

The winter ascent experience on Mount Bogong, Victoria’s highest peak, in the snow.
This adventure is for bush walkers and hikers who are excited to see the high country in winter. You will cover around 16 kilometres and return via the Staircase Spur track to the summit.
The tour begins at Mountain Creek Camp car park which is located at the base of Mt Bogong. After making sure everyone has the right equipment for the adventure we will start the climb up Staircase Spur Track.
Climb eight kilometres to the summit encountering beautiful alpine vegetation and spectacular views of the high plains.
