Mount Beauty Garden Cottage offers family and pet friendly holiday accommodation in the Victorian wine and alpine high country.

This self-catered accommodation includes a full kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, three bedrooms sleeping six guests. Bathroom contains toile and shower over the bath, and 2nd toilet is located off the laundry. Laundry contains laundry sink, washing machine and dryer. Mount Beauty, located just 90 minutes south east of Albury or 30 minutes drive from Bright, provides an ideal base to tour the Kiewa Valley and Falls Creek.

There is an array of experiences available ranging from walking, cycling, eating and drinking, hang gliding, snow and water activities, and a broad range of accommodation for all tastes and budgets. Staff and volunteers in the Mount Beauty Visitor Information Centre can help plan your holiday to Mount Beauty and Surrounds.

The Centre offers an award-winning museum, hydroelectricity display, with regional food and wine for purchase. The Information Centre also stocks a range of maps, books, souvenirs and gifts, specialising in maps and trail guides of the Alpine National Park, including Mount Bogong and Mount Feathertop, as well as information on all of Victoria.

The Park Mount Beauty

The Park Mount Beauty is situated in the heart of the beautiful Kiewa Valley, North East Victoria. It is ideally located on the banks of the Kiewa River only a short stroll to the town’s centre , supermarket, and shops. Pioneering the High Plains – Bogong Horseback Adventures

Step back into another time with a celebration of Australian heritage. Ride the High Plains on a journey to the Mittagundi Bush Dance and Pioneer Festival before climbing onto Mount Bogong, Victoria’s highest mountain.

Pioneering the High Plains expedition takes you on a journey, through diverse landscapes, along a route that highlights the vertical scale, and the rich cultural heritage of the Victorian High Country.

Mid tour you will follow the spectacular Track 107 down to Mittagundi, a not for profit outdoor education centre where they host the annual Mittagundi Bush Dance and Pioneer Skills fundraising weekend. Bogong Horseback adventures invites guests to get involved in a traditional bush festivities weekend and pick up some long lost bush skills along the way.

For the final few days the tour will head up The Long Spur to the final camp on Mount Bogong, Victoria’s highest mountain. On your last day you climb to the highest place you can take a horse in Australia, and nestled in the valley far below is Spring Spur, your destination at day’s end.
